Ultra High-Security Infrastructure

Product Description

BIG 48+: German-made Software Defined Network & Security Gateway for critical infrastructure supporting zero-trust ready and long lifecycle. 10G multi-service, scalable x86 compute to run SD-WAN/SASE/NGFW and other next generation services.
Sphir: Modular security framework for critical infrastructure and high secure networks. uSphir = software-defined SD-WAN/SASE; iSphir = industrial-hardened IT/OT gateways; qSphir = quantum-resilient encryption (with PQC and QKD). Built for trust and sovereignty.

Use cases

Secure site connectivity at scale: SD-WAN/SASE for thousands of edge locations with centralized policy and zero-touch rollout.
IT/OT segmentation & micro-perimeters: Contain lateral movement between SCADA, PLCs, and enterprise IT; identity-/policy-driven access.
Remote operations & field assets: Hardened edge gateways for substations, depots, trackside, and utility cabinets with 24/7 availability.
Sovereign & mission-critical backbones: Encrypted inter-site links and out-of-band control planes for government/defence networks.
Carrier Ethernet: Reliable, scalable connectivity for business-critical networks.
Multi-cloud & data center interconnect: Policy-consistent IPsec/SEGW and service-chaining across regions and providers.
Data center access: 100G / 400G / 800G ToR switches for maximum network efficiency
Zero-trust branch modernization: Replace legacy MPLS/CPE stacks with software-defined services on BIG 48+ x86 compute.
Operational telemetry & compliance: Edge telemetry export, signed images, SBOM options to support regulated audits.
Post-quantum migration paths: qSphir for PQ-ready crypto domains and crypto-agile key management in sovereign environments.
Critical event continuity: Secure failover/backup links for control rooms, emergency services, and rail operations.
Vendor-agnostic service hosting: Run third-party VNFs/containers (NGFW, IDS/IPS, proxies) directly on BIG 48+.
Network Management: Centralized monitoring and automation across multi-vendor networks.

Business impact

Supply-chain trust & sovereignty: German engineering/manufacturing, transparent component lineage, signed firmware → higher assurance for CI procurement.
Lower TCO: Consolidate routers, firewalls, and SD-WAN into a single software-defined platform; reduce truck rolls via zero-touch ops.
Faster time-to-service: Spin up new security/network functions on BIG 48+ in minutes instead of hardware refresh cycles.
Reduced vendor lock-in: Open, modular stack (u/i/qSphir) and x86 service-chaining enables multi-vendor best-of-breed choices.
Lifecycle stability: Long availability windows and controlled BOM changes minimize re-certification costs in regulated environments.
Resilience by design: High-availability options and crypto-agile roadmap (qSphir) mitigate outage and obsolescence risks.
Operational simplicity: Central orchestration, templated policies, and telemetry reduce configuration drift and human error.
Capex to Opex flexibility: License-on-demand and software upgrades extend asset life and align spend to project phasing.
Future-proof security: PQ-readiness and zero-trust patterns protect today while enabling tomorrow’s cryptographic transitions.
